Plain sausages

Have you tried the Base Ready mix from Designasausage? That is about as plain as you can get and them you can
add some other seasonings for yourself!

Just the basics?

As a virgin sausage maker ( dispite over 17yrs in the butchery trade) i,m thoroughly enjoying my new hobby of sausage making, however, whilst i enjoy any type of sausage, my wife on the otherhand is very much a plain jane type.
So, with that in mind i ordered the farmhouse sausage mix, and even that is not really to her liking..."a bit spicy isn,t it???".
My question is this, does anyone know of a base sausage seasoning, one that can be further added to with herbs, spices, etc...
I had thought of ordering the pepper mix available on the web page, but dont want to waste money on getting the wrong thing, any feedback would be grateful, just so you know, she consider,s the mass produced cheap as chips sausages in the freezer section of the supermarket, lovely!!
Seems that salt and pepper are evident in the cheap one,s but as ever there seems to be an elusive herb/spice or two in there also?
As she keeps telling me i just like basic things...think there,s a dig in there somewhere?!
